3 Things to Do Before the Academy Year Ends on June 30
Can you believe it? The 2025-2026 NGPF Academy year is coming to a close. On June 30, the current Academy year official ends, and the new Academy year begins. Before the Academy year ends, take a few minutes to make sure you've earned all the recognition and credit you've worked toward this year.
1. Earn the Final Badge of the Year
The Spring PD Passport Badge is still within reach. To earn it, complete 3 hours of NGPF professional development between April 1 - June 30, 2026. Any combination of PD opportunities counts toward the requirement. As the final limited-edition badge of the Academy year, this is your last opportunity to add it to your collection.
2. Reach Your Next Academy Level
Every 10 PD hours you complete (up to 40 annually) advances you to the next Academy level, culminating in Senior status. Need a few more hours to reach your next level before June 30? Here are a few free ways to earn credit:
- Virtual PD: Live, interactive one-hour sessions offered multiple times each week. View the schedule and register.
- On-Demand: More than 50 self-paced modules covering a wide range of personal finance topics. Most can be completed in about an hour. Browse available modules.
- FinCamp: Free, full-day, in-person professional development events held in cities across the country. View the eight upcoming locations before June 30.
3. Verify Your PD Hours Before the Reset
On June 30, your Academy-year totals will reset as the new Academy year begins.
Before then, log in to your My NGPF Academy to confirm that all your completed professional development has been recorded accurately. If the info does not match, submit your missing credits via the form in your My NGPF Academy page under the PD Events tab.
Please note: On-Demand modules may take up to 10 days to appear in your account. If you've recently completed a module, please allow that processing time before submitting your missing credits.
Don't Worry, Your Certificates Stay Put
While your Academy-year totals reset each year, your professional development certificates remain available in your account year-round. You can access and download them whenever you need documentation for your school or district.
Finish the Year Strong
With June 30 approaching, now is the perfect time to review your progress, earn any remaining credits, and make the most of the final weeks of the Academy year!
