Math Monday: Math Resource Directory

Note: The Math Resource Directory has been retired and is no longer being maintained. You can find a wide variety of math resources on the NGPF Math page.

With summer in full swing, you may be thinking about the big-picture for your classes, rather than tomorrow’s lesson plan. Today, we’ll look at the Math Resource Directory, which can help you plan for the year ahead.

The Math Resource Directory

The Math Resource Directory links to all NGPF’s activities that include both math and personal finance. Using the Directory, you can browse activities by math topic, personal finance topic, and activity type.

To access the directory, you can always go to the Teacher Toolkit page while logged in to your NGPF account.

Types of NGPF Math Activities
Here are the types of NGPF activities that often include both math and personal finance:

  • MATH Activities: Complete math lessons on a personal finance topic that include an example, Edpuzzle video, practice problems, and reflection questions. You can also find these on our Math Collection page.
  • CALCULATE and COMPARE Activities: Personal finance activities that use math to make financial decisions. Check out COMPARE: Auto Loans as an example.
  • ANALYZE Activities: Personal finance activities focused on analyzing graphs or other real-world data. Check out ANALYZE: Investing for Retirement as an example.
  • Data Crunches: A short activity composed of a personal finance graph followed by five questions. NGPF has over 50 data crunches, which are linked in the last section of the Directory. Check out DATA CRUNCH: Which Careers are the Biggest Gamble? as an example.

Answer Keys
You can find answer keys for each activity linked on the Unit page for that activity. Not sure which unit the activity is in? Look at the right side of the document header.

Remember, you’ll need to be signed into your NGPF teacher account in order to access answer keys.

Happy planning!
