[The Resource] CREATE: Write a Savings Letter

The Gist: Students write a letter to a friend or parent with a savings goal they have so they have someone to help support them and keep them accountable!

The Best Parts:

• Before writing the letter, students first identify what they're saving for, how much money they aim to save, when they want to save the money by, and the strategies they plan to use to reach their savings goal. 
• Students write a detailed letter to a friend, parent, or mentor that includes the goal and why they are saving for it. They also include any concerns they may have that could keep them from successfully reaching their goal and request that person to support them if possible. 
• The activity includes a BONUS section that has students use FutureMe.org to write a letter to their future self in the case they don't want to confide in another person regarding their goal.
