Just One Resource - COMPARE: Find an Apartment
In this weekly blog post, the Curriculum team will highlight Just One Resource from our NGPF collection that maybe doesn't get the attention it deserves. Use it this week or bookmark it for later. |
[The Resource] COMPARE: Find an Apartment
The Gist: Students go apartment hunting using actual apartment listing websites!
The Best Parts:
- First, students watch a video that includes helpful tips on what to look for and how to go about the apartment hunting process.
- Then, students calculate how much they can budget for rent based on the average college graduate's starting salary (OR, using a salary estimator based on the major they plan to study in college).
- Using actual apartment listing sites, students find and compare 3 different apartments in a city of their choice.
- After selecting 1 apartment to live in, students reflect on the overall process of apartment hunting!
