Just One Resource - CALCULATE: What If You Invested That Latte?
In this weekly blog post, the Curriculum team will highlight Just One Resource from our NGPF collection that maybe doesn't get the attention it deserves. Use it this week or bookmark it for later. |
[The Resource] CALCULATE: What If You Invested That Latte?
The Gist: How much money would you have in 30 years if you were to put aside the money you spend on that daily coffee into a retirement account instead?
The Best Parts:
- Students use Bankrate's Return on Investment Calculator to answer the above question.
- Once they find out how much they would have in 30 years with a specific set of assumptions, they can experiment with the variables (time, money, interest rate they are receiving, etc.).
- Students walk away with a deeper appreciation for how those little, seemingly harmless expenses ADD UP!

She is passionate about bringing the high quality personal finance content and instruction she wished she'd received in school to the next generation of students and educators.
