Using Active Learning to Teach Asset Classes
We announced the release of our Investing Unit Revamp last week. Included in the revamp was the INTERACTIVE: Exploring Asset Classes, which used the Novel Investor Interactive as a springboard for student questions.
We designed this Up and Moving Implementation to part #1 of the lesson that includes two brief up and moving activities to kick off the class and cards you can use for each activity. You can also use your own sticky notes. In the first activity, students will be assigned an asset class or an asset description and have to walk around the class to find the correct matches. In the second activity, students will work together to predict the top to the bottom rank order of each asset class based on returns from 2006-2020.
