State Professional Development Stipends

To support successful implementation of personal finance course guarantees, Next Gen Personal Finance offers $500 stipends for current public high school teachers in certain states who complete 20 hours of NGPF professional development. See the links for additional state-specific details.

Any combination of Certification CoursesOn-DemandVirtual PD, Virtual Conferences, and FinCamps count. NGPF offers all of its professional development at no cost. 

Once you complete your 20 hours, if you meet all eligibility requirements, you will receive a $500 Amazon e-gift card as a stipend.

NGPF will automatically tally your hours and notify you that you are a recipient of the grant within the quarter after you complete the 20 credits.

Stipends are paid approximately:

  • Oct 15 for quarter ending Sep 30
  • Jan 15 for quarter ending Dec 31
  • Apr 15 for quarter ending Mar 30
  • Jul 15 for quarter ending Jun 30

To avoid delays:

  1. Please confirm your school is listed correctly in your NGPF Account > My Profile
  2. If you use NGPF On Demand modules as part of your 20+ hours for the stipend, please note that each module is designed to take about 1 hour to complete. Answer all questions in-depth to ensure that you receive credit for them.

Note: If you've already earned the stipend, you are not eligible for a second one. 

 

California

The first 1,000 active California public high school teachers who complete 20 hours of NGPF PD Starting on or after August 18, 2022 will earn a $500 stipend.

Colorado

NGPF is providing $500 stipends for up to 400 active Colorado public high school teachers who complete 20 hours of NGPF Professional Development beginning on or after July 1, 2025.

Delaware

Beginning on or after July 1, 2025, the first 100 active Delaware public high school teachers to complete 20+ hours of NGPF PD will earn a $500 stipend.

Florida

The Stiles-Nicholson Foundation and Next Gen Personal Finance are together providing $500 stipends for up to 2,000 active Florida public high school teachers who complete 20 hours of NGPF PD between November 8, 2022-Dec. 31, 2026.

New Mexico

NGPF is offering $500 stipends to the first 100 active New Mexico public high school teachers who complete 20 hours of NGPF professional development beginning on or after January 1, 2025.

Oregon

NGPF is offering $500 stipends to the first 250 Oregon active public high school teachers who complete 20 hours of NGPF's no-cost professional development between January 1, 2025 and June 30, 2027.

Wisconsin

NGPF is providing $500 stipends to the first 250 active Wisconsin public high school teachers who complete 20 hours of NGPF professional development between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2026.
